There Are Many Spooktacular Ways to Celebrate Halloween in Davie/Southwest Ranches

As Halloween approaches, children are eager to put on their costumes and parents are looking for a safe place for them to “Trick-or-Treat.” There are a variety of ways to celebrate the holiday in the Davie/Cooper City area. Some of them include:

On October 27, from 3pm-8pm, Young At Art Museum will host the YAA Halloween Party at the Museum, 751 S.W. 121 Ave. in Davie. Fun for the entire family, this year’s celebration includes a museum-wide experience with a range of colorful, art-filled and spooktacular activities. $14 per person; $12 for Broward County residents, seniors and children over age 1; and $11 for military members and their immediate families. On October 28, from 7pm – 9pm, find out if the Old Davie School is haunted. Explore the 1918 Old Davie School, 1912 Viele House and Pioneer Home by only the light of your flashlight. Enjoy fun & spooky activities for the whole family at the Old Davie School Historical Museum, 6650 Griffin Road. Tickets: $10 per person. Limited tickets available. On October 28, from 10am – noon, join the little ghouls and goblins as they gather goodies at Trick or Treat Shop to Shop, at the Cooper City Shopping Center, 9900 Griffin Road. Children may go from store to store seeking treats. There will also be costume contests for each age group (infant to middle school). No charge. Children must be accompanied by an adult. On October 28, from 1pm to 5pm, join the Town of Davie for an afternoon of tricks and treats at Robbins Lodge, 4005 S. Hiatus Road in Davie.

The South Florida Trail Riders will hold a
Horse Costume Contest and the South Florida Cloggers will host a family-friendly Haunted House (small fee per person). There will also be free inflatable rides, hayride, train, and a petting farm.

The Boy Scout
Pumpkin Patch will be open for children of all ages. Pick a real pumpkin from the patch at a small cost per pumpkin and then paint and decorate your pumpkin. Free Halloween games for kids will be available all afternoon. Small prizes will be awarded to winners (while supplies last).
